Is my booking confirmed instantly?

No. The website submits a rental enquiry. After you submit your details, the team reviews vehicle availability and contacts you with confirmation or next steps.

Do I need to pay online?

No. Gemini Car Rentals does not collect online payments through the website. The form is used to submit your enquiry and allow the team to contact you.

Can I choose BIA airport pickup?

Yes. Bandaranaike International Airport pickup can be selected as part of the enquiry flow when available. You can also choose vehicle-specific pickup or handover locations where applicable.

Can I drive in Sri Lanka with a foreign licence?

Yes. If you hold a valid foreign driving licence, you can legally drive in Sri Lanka by obtaining a temporary Sri Lankan driving permit. This process is straightforward and can be completed at Bandaranaike International Airport after you arrive. You will typically need your passport, a valid foreign driving licence, and an International Driving Permit (or an English translation if your licence is not in English). Once issued, the permit allows you to drive during your stay, making it easy to get on the road soon after you land.

What is a vehicle preferred location?

A vehicle preferred location is the usual pickup or handover location for a specific vehicle. This could be a city or area such as Galle, Colombo, Negombo, or another listed location depending on the vehicle.

Can pickup and handover locations be different?

Yes. Depending on the vehicle and availability, you may be able to select different pickup and handover locations, such as BIA for arrival and the vehicle’s preferred location for return.

Is there an additional charge for short rentals?

There is no additional charge for short rentals. However, longer bookings benefit from lower daily rates. In addition, for rentals of more than 14 days, we offer free vehicle delivery and pickup.

What details do I need to submit an enquiry?

You need to provide your country, first name, last name, rental dates, pickup date and time, selected vehicle, pickup location, handover location, WhatsApp phone number, address in your residing country, and address in Sri Lanka.
